funding must investigate, gather and disseminate crime statistics
to students and their families. When making decisions on attending
college, prospective students should understand their right
to know about crime on campus and should learn how to gain
access to those statistics. The occurrence of crime on campus
should be a heavily weighted factor when deciding where to
attend.
