Carroll Rape Crisis Center was created to provide free and confidential services to victims of sexual assault and their families and friends. Listed below are some of the services
provided by CRCC.
HOTLINE -- Call (770) 834-7273 anytime you have a question or need help. You can call the HOTLINE 24 hours a day.
MEDICAL ACCOMPANIMENT -- We will be with you while you wait and during the exam. It is important to have an exam so you can be checked for possible injuries, pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases. Also, any evidence that might be present can be collected (in case you decide to press charges). A CRCC advocate can provide you with support and information during this process.
CRISIS COUNSELING -- An attack is very upsetting for you and for the people who care for you. We can help with counseling for you, your family and even your friends. It is normal to have ups and downs later on. Call us at any time. We are here for you!
CRIMINAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE -- We can help you with the police and the courts. We can provide an advocate to answer your questions and accompany you to court or to the police station.
COMFORT KITS -- We provide comfort kits to rape survivors. This kit contains a change of clothing and personal hygiene items.
COMMUNITY RESOURCE INFORMATION/ REFERRALS -- We can provide information and referral for other community agencies.
YOUTH/YOUNG ADULT PREVENTION PROGRAMS
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES -- We have several types of volunteer services if you have a desire to help. Please click here if you are interested.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION -- The CRCC provides free educational prevention programs to local schools and organizations. We offer one-hour, multiple-day, and continual basis programming.

DRCC provides direct services, prevention education, and advocacy for youth and adult survivors of sexual assault, their families and the community as a whole. DRCC helps survivors of sexual violence forge a new beginning, not only to survive their ordeal, but also to become strengthened by it. Telephone Counseling
24 Hour Crisis Line 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the crisis line provides support and information to victims of sexual assault, their families and friends. The crisis line is supported by trained volunteer advocates and staff.
Advocacy
Report any insensitivity shown toward you by any official or agency and the Rape Crisis Center will advocate on an administrative level in order to assure better treatment.
Hospital Treatment
Trained volunteer advocates and staff accompany victims to the hospital to offer support and information during the forensic exam process. This service is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
S.A.N.E.
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program with trained, certified nurses to collect forensic evidence for the police.
Court Assistance
A victim advocate offers support and accompaniment to victims throughout the legal process including police interviews, appointments with the Assistant District Attorney, and court hearings.
Counseling
The Rape Crisis Center offers short term crisis intervention for victims of sexual assault, their friends and families. There is no charge for this service.
Support Groups
Come and talk to others who have suffered sexual assault and are searching for ways to cope. This is a twelve-session program for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Community Education
Request a speaker for your business, club, church, school, civic or community group to present programs on sexual assault issues.
Faculty and Parent's Programs
These programs are tailored to specific needs and/or issues that the faculty or parents wish to address. All prevention programs can be presented to faculty and parent groups.
Professional Training
Specialized training for any individual or organization working with sexual assault victims.
Prevention Programs
Some of the prevention programs we offer are:
Good Touch/Bad Touch, Bullying and Sexual Harassment for elementary age children.
Bullying for elementary and middle school age children.
Sexual Harassment, Date/Acquaintance Rape, Sexual Assault Awareness, and Men’s programs for teens and adults, middle and high school through college age.
Self Defense
Inquire about ongoing self-defense courses through the Rape Crisis Center office and learn basic verbal and physical techniques.
Third Party Reporting
Allow the Rape Crisis Center to give information to police without using your name, if you do not want to report (only if you give your permission). |
